Step 1

Step 1.2

1. Preparation & Creating Roof

Begin by pressing all fabric pieces. To create the roof, place polka dot fabric flat on table. Find center and fold in from each corner to create a triangle.  Press fabric and then cut along pressed line to create rooftop. Do this with the other piece of polka dot fabric.

Step 2

2. Sew Trim to House

Set up your sewing machine and lay out all pattern pieces. Starting with the pink solid rectangle fabric, place lace on short side, house front and sew.  Next, place pom pom trim ton top of lace and sew.

Step 3

Step 3.2

3. Attach Roof

Sew roof front to house front by putting right sides together with tip of roof facing down. Sew with 3/8” seam. Flip roof (tip facing up and top stitch roof 3/8” from pom poms and lace.

Step 4

4. Attach Second Roof

Sew the second roof piece to the patterned house base the same as in step 3. Finish with a 3/8” top stitch. You should now have two house shaped pieces.

Step 5

5. Assemble Windows

Select one of the patterned fabric window squares and one felt window frame. Using a wet glue, add a small line of glue around window edges. Place glued side of frame to right side of fabric. Follow same instructions for other two windows. Trim fabric to the edge of the felt window.

Step 6

Step 6.2

6. Sew Doorknob On & Sew Sign

Sew the provided button onto the felt door piece of your house to make a doorknob.  Find the label and felt pieces for the sign above the door of your house. Center the fabric piece in the middle of the felt piece and sew the two pieces on top of each other.

Step 7

Step 7.2

7. Attach Pieces to House

Pin windows, door sign and door onto the house front (the one with the trim).  Top stitch each piece to the house front.

Step 8

8. Sew Sides of House

Pin right sides of house front and back together.  Sew starting at tip of roof down to the bottom of fabric on both sides.

Step 9

9. Stuff Pillow

Sew the bottom of the house leaving a 4” opening to stuff with your choice of stuffing. Fill the pillow until it reaches your desired firmness.

Step 10

Step 10.2

10. Finish Off the Bottom and Enjoy!

Hand stitch the bottom hole of the pillow together to finish it off. Display your new, darling pillow or give it away as a thoughtful gift! You can create a fun pin cushion using the leftover dot fabric too.
