Hi!  Tina here today with my 2015 version of an Advent Calendar. Each year, I challenge myself to create a new Advent Calendar, with a Tina twist.  My kids are grown so I don’t have the fun of the daily ritual of opening the advent to reveal the days goodies.

But that doesn’t stop me from wanting to create a calendar, hoping to share inspiration for those with young children who enjoy the daily fun.

To create my 2015 version, I used four of my favorite new Hazel & Ruby DIY Decor Tapes:
Scandinavian Sweater
Brown Kraft Plaid
Gold Confetti Dot

To create the base for my ’12 Days of Christmas’ Advent, I re-purposed the wood panel used for my Halloween project, shown here.

I removed the Halloween DIY Decor Tape and replaced it with the above Christmas styles.

To create my advent boxes, I covered each with DIY Decor Tape and Glitter.

I found this super cute ’12 Days of Christmas’ printable on Etsy for the lid of each box.  I printed them to size and adhered them to each box.

But the fun didn’t stop there. Using the same DIY Decor Tape and a model truck kit, I created a cute little accent piece to go with my calendar.

Adhering the tape to the wood truck is super easy and forgiving if you mess up.  :)

I added fun little embellishments and done!

Do you create an advent calendar each year?  I’d love to see your ideas!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week.
