Happy Friday everyone! Just wanted to share a quick update with you today. We will be sadly missing at the CHA show this year due to changes in company structure (read press release below). We have a lot happening at Hazel & Ruby which should prove to be positive for the continued growth of the brand. Bring it on 2016!

HAZEL & RUBY NOT EXHIBITING AT THE CHA SHOW, CONTINUES GROWTH INTO 2016
JAN. 8, 2016, SALT LAKE CITY, UT- Hazel & Ruby (www.hazelandruby.com), a DIY lifestyle brand founded in 2013 by Jayme Shepherd and Lindsay Moore will not be displaying at the annual Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show which runs January 9 through January 12 in Anaheim, CA.
The decision to pullout from the show comes on the heels of changes in the current partnership structure between Shepherd, Moore and Marcia Cornell, owner of My Minds Eye. Earlier this fall, the partners decided to amicably split ways in order to focus personal and financial resources on their respective brands.
“Our relationship with Marcia and her team at My Minds Eye has played a vital role in the success of Hazel & Ruby and has enabled us to grow profitably in just two short years”, said Moore. “We wish them nothing but the very best. It is the desire of both Jayme and I to continue to grow Hazel & Ruby as a prominent player in the DIY Craft, home and lifestyle markets.”
Hazel & Ruby has launched several key innovations to mass craft channels and indie boutiques worldwide. These programs include Stencil-Masks, DIY Décor Tape – which was the CHA Hot Product Award winner for 2015 – and most recently, Crafternoon – a DIY kit program developed around Pinterest-inspired ideas that you can make in an afternoon.
Hazel & Ruby has been in negotiations with several larger companies in the craft industry who have shown interest in acquiring the brand. Those companies have not been named due to non-disclosure agreements while due-diligence continues over the coming weeks.
“We have been so fortunate to be able to build this brand from the ground up and get placement very quickly “, said Shepherd. “We are more motivated than ever-before to continue to develop trend-forward, design-driven product for the consumer who is passionate about DIY and living a more hand-crafted life.”
Hazel & Ruby has new programs releasing at Hobby Lobby stores this spring. Those programs include Giant Washi Tape and new designs of their popular Stencil-Mask products. Crafternoon will also be launching in the Australian market in 2016.
